KUALA LUMPUR: Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau celebrated the 20th anniversary of his career with a sell-out concert on Saturday night. “Twenty years is a long time, and tonight we shall all savour and reflect on what we have been through,” he said during the concert at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, attended by a crowd of 10,000. Chau released his first album – The Heart’s Destination – in 1986, and kicked off the concert with the title track from that album. The Wakin 20 Live in Malaysia 2007 concert was Chau’s first concert here in two years. It also featured Malaysian singer-composer Lee Chee Ching as well as singers Nicholas Teo and Victor Wong. |
