Celine Dion Malaysian Tour Rescheduled

The Canadian diva was due to perform two concerts in Sydney tonight and tomorrow night at the Entertainment Centre, but announced at midday today she would not be well enough to go through with them.

"Since arriving in Australia Celine has been suffering from a respiratory tract infection which has caused bronchial and laryngeal inflammation," Dion's Australian publicists said.

Dion was examined today by a prominent Sydney specialist after she had failed to respond to appropriate treatment, the statement added.

The specialist had advised "that with a further 48 hours of treatment and rest she will make a complete recovery and can resume performing at her best."

As the performances in Sydney and Perth had been postponed to April 5 & 6,it is necessary to reschedule the concert in Malaysia as well. The Malaysia concert will now be performed on Sunday April 13, 8 pm at Stadium Merdeka.

"I've been looking forward to doing these shows for so long... I'm really sorry to disappoint my fans this weekend... but I can't wait to see them on the new dates", Celine said earlier today.

All tickets purchased for the original dates in all cities are valid for the same seats on the new performance date
without any need for exchange.
