Hot! Hot! Hot! Smoking hot! A-Mei’s Star Tour Live in Malaysia was so hot that old folks and young kids could barely watch it with their eyes wide shut. There Should have been a sign saying, “admit hot, young adults only” as many couldn’t take the heat.

Temperatures shot up to an all-time high when Asia’s Queen of Mandopop A-Mei rocked with 18,000 fans during her sell-out concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, on Friday night.

From the moment she made her entrance, A-Mei showed why she continually packs stadiums with an unending stream of sellout concerts as she belted out her hits and effortlessly worked the crowd into a feverish pitch.

With a dozen costume changes, every successive outfit even more dazzle-dazzle and bling-bling, A-Mei left her fans starryeyed and clamouring for more.

Having stars and sparkles as her theme, her concert gear included a diamante-studded roman soldier’s
armour, a mini-tuxedo with tigh-high boots, a butterfly-sleeved floaty number and a wedding gown-inspired full length dress.
She even showed off a couple of guitars and microphone stands as she strutted her stuff on stage.

While the rock diva mostly shimmied and swayed as she sang, her backup dancers were simply sizzling. Her eight svelte female dancers were undeniably hot, but her four strapping male dancers were even hotter. Just compare the gals’ bikinis over spandex bodysuits to the guys’ boxers and suspenders.

And the eye candy was not limited to stage performers as lots of hardcore A-Mei fans even dressed
like their idol.
While the oboriginal Taiwanese entertainer has always radiated a healthy sex appeal, nothing prepared the audience for her live interpretation of Victoria’s Secret, composed by Malaysian singer-songwritter Gary Chaw.

her power-packed rendition of rocking tunes like High High High, Bad Boy, Huo(Fire), Xia Tian De Lang Hua ( Summer Waves ) and Zhan Zhai Gao Gang Shang ( Standing on a Hilltop ) had audiences working up a sweat.

Her medley sessions were like a huge karaoke session for her fans to sing their favourite songs with their darling idol.

Garbeb in a sequined black-tee and ripped denim jeans, she sat strumming a guitar while conducting the mega singalong; Wo Ke Yi Bao Ni Ma Ai Ren ( Can I Hug You, My Love?), Jie Tuo ( Release ), Gei Wo Gan Jue ( Feel), Yi Xiang Dao Ni Ya ( Whenever i Think of You), Qian Shou ( Hand in Hand ) and Jie Mei ( Sisters).

With all the song lyrics on huge screens flanking the stage, fans also sang along to her chart-topping hits
like Ni Shi Ai Wo De ( You Do Love Me), Wo Yao Kuai Le ( I Want Happiness), Ting Hai ( Listen To The Sea),
Ru Guo Ni Ye Ting Shuo ( If You Have Heard So Too ), Ren Zhi ( Hostage), and her signature tune Yuan Lai Ni Shen Me Dou Bu Xiang Yao ( You Actually Didn’t Want Anything).

The 36-year-old who hails from the Puyuma clan of the Bunun tribe, an aboriginal group in Taiwan, said every one in her family sang, too, as singing was an important part of their tribal culture. Together with her tribal friend, the singer introduced ethnic Puyuma yodelling, saying she represented her mother
in bringing aboriginal music to her Malaysian fans.

A-Mei was moved to tears several times as adoring fans screamed her name and declred their undying love, while tirelessly waving glowsticks as they bounced to the beat of every song.

Ever the crowd pleaser, A-Mei replied with, “ Malaysia, saya cinta padamu” and paid tribute to Malaysian Musicians by singing Sheila Majid’s Lagenda and Gary Chaw’s Bei Pan ( Betrayal ).

As she sang Bie Zhai Shang Kou Sha Yan ( Don’t Rub Salt in My Wounds), the perky songstress couldn’t hold back her tears. She recalled singing the song during her first concert stint in Malaysia, which was a year after hr debut as a singer.

Over three hours long, A-Mei’s concert lasted till midnight with her singing some 40 songs.

Fully Supported by Tourism Malaysia, Amei Star Tour Live In malaysia concert was organised by Galaxy group and jointly presented by Munchy’s and Hotlink.
